The Next 10 Minutes:

For the next chunk of time we’re going to return to a song or riff that we’ve practiced before. Or we can refresh an older technique or review what we’ve practiced a few days ago.

The point of these next few minutes is to develop the amazing thing we call Muscle Memory!

Muscle Memory is a powerful concept. It’s like when you grab your guitar and play the first thing that comes to mind. Most of the time it takes no thought or effort. And muscle memory is in everything we do - turning on the lightswitch when we walk in the room, or pressing on the gas pedal in the car. It takes no thought at all, we can even be thinking about what we’re eating for breakfast and still do it.

I want us to build this on guitar, so at the end of the day we can have more fun playing music!

Play a song that we’ve learned previously. I love the power of learning songs because it’s both a good challenge and keeps us moving forward.

Onward to the last 15 minutes!

You have to get to the next level, or you’re gonna get stuck where you are for the rest of your life.
